Swedish License to Practice is a mandatory certificate for 22 medical professions to be able to work in Sweden. Having Swedish License to Practice (Legitimation) means that you as a healthcare practitioner are entitled to legally work in Sweden. This qualification is secured by the National Board of Health and Welfare of Sweden.
How to obtain a Swedish Medical License to Practice?
The answer to this question depends on the country where you finished your medical studies. If you are graduated within EU/EEA, then the only prerequisite for you to obtain this license is the Swedish language at the fluency level of C1.
But if you studied medicine in countries outside Europe, then there are some other major requirements in addition to Swedish C1 that you should think about them before being able to apply for this certificate e.g. taking proficiency test and clinical training.
